The University Bookstore is located on the ground floor of Hoke Union Building. Its mission is to provide you with the required and necessary materials in a timely manner and enable you to acquire the best education possible. The Bookstore is open Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5 pm, and select Saturdays during Fall term.

Textbooks are arranged alphabetically by class and numerically by class number on the shelves to the back of the store. Complete book lists are placed throughout the textbook section for easy reference. It is recommended that all textbooks be purchased within the first two weeks of the term, but not until after the first session of the respective courses. The Bookstore begins returning unsold textbooks the sixth week of the term, so you need to purchase titles you need by mid term!

Out of Stock Textbooks
When the Bookstore is out of a required text, we strongly recommend you place a special order with a sales assistant! This is the only way we will know you need a book.

Buy Back
As a service to EOU students, the Bookstore offers textbook buyback twice each term. Buys are done the first two days of each term and during the last two weeks of the term.  EOU Bookstore uses Nebraska Book Company, a used-book wholesaler to do the Buy-Back for us. The main Buy is during finals week for campus courses. During this buy the following criteria applies:

  1. Textbook is a current edition.
  2. The Bookstore has received an order from the faculty and has a need to purchase more.
  3. All packaged materials (CDs, Disks, Study Guides, etc.) sold with the textbook must be included.

(Approximately 2-3 weeks prior to finals week, you may check our website at  eoubookstore.com for buy back pricing)

Titles not purchased by the Bookstore may possibly be sold to the used book wholesaler. They will also purchase only current editions and stock that they need, at a price they determine. Not every book you purchase will have buyback value.
